Shree Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated on the 8th day of the Krishna Paksha in Bhadrapada month because Lord Krishna took birth on this day. Shree Krishna is incarnated as the eighth form of Lord Vishnu, who is also known by the names Kanha and Govind.

Let’s take you to the era when Kansa was the ruler of Mathura. Kansa got the oracle that he would be killed by the eighth progeny of Devaki and Vasudev. Frightened Kansa put her sister Devaki and her husband Vasudev in prison and killed their 7 children one by one. But, he could not kill the eighth child because Vasudev left him to Gokul (Nand’s home), after his birth. 

After growing up, Krishna killed Kansa. He freed the mankind from Kansa’s oppression.

Shree Krishna Janmashtami: Ritual Of Janmashtami

Krishna Janmashtami is organised on a large basis and celebrated with great enthusiasm in Mathura and Vrindavan. Raasleela and Dahi Handi celebrations are some of the major attractions of Krishna Janmashtami. In Raasleela, the flirtatious youth days of Shree Krishna is shown dramatically. In Dahi Handi event, an earthen pot (Handi) filed with butter is hung to a large height and the participants are meant to break that earthen pot. Shree Krishna Janmashtami: Janmashtami Vrat

Fasting is observed by people in different ways on Janmashtami. The ardent followers of Krishna observe Nirjala Vrat, on the other hand, some people eat fruits on the fasting day. Let’s come to know the rituals of Vrat in detail:

1. A full day fasting is observed on Janmashtami, which is broken in the midnight, as it is believed that Lord Krishna took birth in the midnight.
2. Keep images of Bal Gopala in swings and cradles. 
3. Decorate him with new clothes and jewellery.
4. Offer prayers to him and swing them in cradles.
5. Atlast, break your fast and eat food. 

It is believed that one who observe this Vrat devoutly, gets all the luxuries and goes to heaven after death. 

Shree Krishna Janmashtami: The Special Day To Beget A Child

All couples wish for progeny after their marriage. But, at time, their wish doesn’t get fulfilled due to some unfortunate reasons. Shree Krishna Janmashtami can be effective for these couples. Due to the auspiciousness of Muhurat of this day, this remedy is found to be very effective. This is an effective way to get blessed by a child. The procedure is as follows:

1. This remedy is performed by both husband and wife with full trust and devotion.
2. On this day, they both take early bath and adopt this remedy as a resolution in front of their deity (one’s favorite god).

6. After worshiping with right procedure, chant Santan Gopal mantra once with a rosary.
7. After chanting Mantra, the childless couple pray for the progeny in front of Shree Krishna. 
8. This remedy proves fruitful if performed with trust and the wishes of childless couples get fulfilled.

On August 15, 2014, we all will complete 67 years of independence and will step in the 68th year. In short, we will observe and enjoy 68th Independence Day.

It was August 15, 1947, when new India or you can say the India after disintegration got disclosed at 12am. What should be the real horoscope of India? Is August 15, 1947 the actual day for India’s emergence? This topic is surely a controversial one among the astrologers. However, it is true that a major and historical incident took place that very day. As a result, a new definition of India’s social, political, financial, geographical, and almost of all the aspects was carved. It won’t be wrong to say that it was the rebirth of our nation. 

If seen from the astrological perspective, the time period between 1942 till 1948 was under the cruel impact of planets. During that phase, intense violence was seen on our motherland and it was blood everywhere. I wonder, what would have actually happened that made our people kill each other, who were once there in each other’s sorrows and joys. As compared to Britishers, it was our own people who caused maximum loss of finances or funds. 

Pt. Deepak Dubey belongs to the pious land of Varanasi. He is a Lord Shiva devotee, a renowned astrologer and master of Hindu religious rituals. While exploring history, I found that if we look at the aspect of planets and similarities of incidents, such a revulsive and dreadful situation was created at the time of Mahabharata too. Intense killing happened during that time as well, and the scenario was really gruesome. As per the historians, epic war of Mahabharata was held in the month of October, 3104 BC. In that month, 3 eclipses occurred. 6 planets namely; Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Rahu, and Saturn were either together or were really close. Sun was adversely affected by Rahu. Over that, Ketu and Mars were forming Angarak Yoga with each other. In addition to this, both of these malefic planets were directly aspecting the Sun, which was eclipsed and aspected by Saturn. As a result, horrendous battle took place. Other than this, some texts also mention about the natural disasters at that time. All these incidents were not the result of one-day planetary movements, the base of this situation was forming since many years. 

Almost similar situation was there during 1942 to 1948, when the entire world (including India) was suffering with Second World War. In the year 1947, solar eclipse took place on November 12, whereas lunar eclipse was seen on November 28. Sun, Rahu, Mercury, Mars, Moon, and Saturn were very close in the month of June. They stayed closed to each other before and after this time too.

I would also like to state that it was in the October month of this year, when the most dreadful hurricane in the history of this world took place. The speed of this hurricane was approximately 250 kilometres per hour. 1945 and 1947 were the years that experienced not only the maximum number of storms, but also the most fearsome ones. According to the available facts, throughout the world, more than 10 crores of people were killed in the second world war and natural calamities of from the year 1942 to 1947. 

I would like to discuss one more similar incident. Within the 30 years after Mahabharata, a gruesome civil war happened in Dwarka. In this war, almost entire Dwarka came to an end. Dwarka, a highly developed city of its time, whose Gwaale (Yadhuvanshi), the people of Dwarka were the richest, came to an end. It is said that at that time, a very dreadful cyclone and Tsunami hit Dwarka, which vanished Dwarka’s existence. 

After Second World War and 25 years of India-Pakistan separation, similar intense situation occurred in the year 1971 - when Bangladesh got partitioned. According to the estimation, approximately 3 to 5 lakhs of people were killed and many people were displaced.

Battle of Bangladesh was started in the year 1971. 4 months before i.e. in November 1970, Eastern Pakistan faced the most dreadful cyclone “Bhola’’. According to the estimation, approximately 5 lakhs people lost their lives in this incident. Agriculture, animals, birds, everything was devastated. Also, I would like to mention that in 1971 also major cyclone, Tsunami, and earthquake of intensity 8.1 took place. Let us now discuss planetary positions. 

Once again; Sun, Ketu, Moon, Mercury, and Venus are close to each other. On the other hand; Sun and Moon are with Ketu in Grahan Yoga (Eclipse Yoga). Rahu and Mars are together, Rahu upon Sun and Moon, as well as full aspect of Mars and Saturn. Adding on it is Saturn’s presence in Rohini Nakshatra. (When Saturn was crossing Rohini Nakshatra, King Dashrath created “Dashrath Krit Shani Stotra”, recited it, and saved his kingdom from the natural calamities by pleasing Lord Saturn. However, during this time, neither we have a great visionary like Guru Vashishtha nor the King like Dashratha.) The results will be very atrocious.

If we look at the horoscope of August 15, 1947 at 12am, it could be concluded that the positions of planets were not favorable even on that day. Birth chart of that day is:

According to this Kundali (birth chart), Rahu is posited in ascendant (Lagna), whereas seventh house is occupied by Ketu. Therefore, cordial relations with neighboring countries can’t be established ever, no matter how much talks, wars, and efforts are tried. 

With positioning of Rahu in ascendant, atheism and western culture will prevail and own religion, culture will face continuous depletion. Be it the higher authorities or a laborer, everyone will follow the path of exploitation wherever possible. 

Conjunction of Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and saturn in the third house indicates women’s dominance in the nation. However, with positioning of Jupiter (planet of religion) in the sixth house, country’s religion and culture would get harmed. Along with this, India will always stay under the debt. Though our country won’t ever lack in the youth power and they will carve a beautiful future of India, as exalted Mars is aspecting the ninth house. 

It’s the time to discuss how this year i.e. August 15, 2014 till August 15, 2015, would be for our country. 

As per the planetary positions seen on August 15, 2014 at 12am, discontentment is foreseen among the youth of our nation. Inflation would be seen in the prices of oil, minerals, and gas, after November 2014. Also, it would become difficult to control inflation. Any natural calamity or terrorist attack is likely to happen during the period of October to December. Tension will increase at border. In the beginning of 2015, fearful earthquake is expected in India and neighboring places, especially in the west-north region. Any reputed leader may die. Communal scenario will deteriorate. However, exalted Jupiter will lead to progress in religious institutions, and endeavors related to water as well as agriculture. Let’s now see the Kundali of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi:

If we analyze the horoscope of Narendra Modi from the day of August 15 (according to me, Libra is ascendant and date of birth is September 17, 1949), it seems that he will go on foreign tours, during this year. It will enhance his influence in other countries. Time will go smoothly till half of the year; however, some troubles are expected after that. Tension on border is possible and strict measures would be taken to deal with it. Some minor military operation is also possible. Internal stress may also come up. Positioning of Saturn in the seventh house of India’s birth chart and in second house of Modi’s Kundali (from November), as well as presence of Rahu in the fifth house of India’s birth chart are indicating major conflict on any decision taken by Narendra Modi. 

This is India’s future according to the planets. However, Lord Krishna has said, ‘’कर्मणैव धिकरस्ते माँ फलेसु कदाचन!’’ It means - “Try to understand the real responsibility, your own religion first. Take yourself out from the bad habits and negativities dwelling inside you. • Make Swastik (auspicious symbol) on a Kalash (earthen pot) and tie the sacred thread (Mauli) around it
• Make the same Swastik on the Puja Sthan (place of worship) and put Mauli, rice, jaggery (Gur), and a coin on it
• Apply Vermilion (Kumkum) on the neem branches and offer sacred Mauli, rice, jaggery, and fruits to the idols.
• Put rice and milk in the lake
• Lit up the incense sticks (Agarbatti) and recite the story (Kajli Teej Katha)
• See your reflection in the lake 
• Now bow your head and honor Teej Mata and seek blessings 
• Take three rounds around the Teej Mata
