Whom do you think is the catalyst in your life? It is our Gurus or teachers who serve as the change makers and guide us onto the path of righteousness.
What more could you anticipate from this world that was all but darkness? What would you be without the guidance of an enlightening light?
The answer to the above questions is the existence of a teacher, a mentor or a guru. It is the very existence of a teacher who dissipates the darkness and the ignorance in you. If we dive deep into the literal meaning, a teacher helps you to have a control on yourself in reality. Expedition from the abyss of the dark towards the light is marked by a teacher.
So, to pay adoration to your guru and teachers, Guru Purnima is celebrated. On this propitious occasion of Guru Purnima, a devotee exhibits gratitude for the elements that shimmers up his/her life in the real world.
