• Put betel nuts, betel leaves, dry date fruit and a coin (silver or copper) inside the Kalash
• Apply Chandan, turmeric and Kumkum on a coconut and place that coconut on top of the Kalash
• Place mango leaves around the coconut
• Keep a new red cloth in plate and put it over the rice on floor
• Light a lamp (diya) in front of Goddess Lakshmi

The Pooja is finished with offering sweets to all the ladies and singing devotional songs in praise of Goddess Lakshmi.
