Normally, the Sutak period begins a few hours before the eclipse occurs, and ends after the eclipse is over and a bath is taken. This period isn’t applicable for elders, kids and patients.

Don’ts During The Sutak Period

• Do not begin any new task in this period.
• It is prohibited to prepare or eat food.
• Avoid urinating, defecating, brushing teeth or combing the hair.
• Do not touch the idols of Gods and Goddesses as well as the Tulsi plant.
