Narali Purnima is a festival widely and mainly celebrated by the fishing folk. This is to offer prayers to the Sea God to mark the end of monsoon season and to kickstart a wonderful fishing season.

The main offering done on this day is the Coconut. it is believed that offering a gold Coconut to the sea will bring oodles of good luck, but as it is not affordable by many, normal coconuts are preferred.
