As per the rituals, the devotees apply a scented oil on their bodies before taking bath. After taking bath in the auspicious Muhurat of Abhyang Snan, they start the Puja by following certain rituals or Puja Vidhi, which are as follows:

Kali Chaudas 2014 - Auspicious Muhurat
(Below given Panchanga is on the basis of New Delhi region.)
- Abhyang Snan Muhurta: From 04:48 to 06:29 of October 22, 2014.
- The Chaturdashi Tithi (the fourteenth day) will prevail from 01:22 of Oct 22 till 02:34 of Oct 23, 2014.
- The time of Rahukaal is from 12:05 to 13:30 in the afternoon.
- The time of Amrit Kaal is from 20:08 to 21:52 at night.
Kali Chaudas 2014 - Rituals Of The Day

- Place the idol of Goddess Kali on the Puja Sthan
- Light Diya in front of Goddess Kali’s idol

- Meditate and pray in the honour of Goddess Kali
