Sutak Kaal During Lunar Eclipse


This Lunar Eclipse will be visible in India, which is why its Sutak period and religious importance will be valid. The Sutak will begin from 03:54 PM on 16 July until 04:29:50 AM in the morning on 17 July, when the Grahan ends. As Guru Purnima is falling on 16 July as well, hence any religious function or ceremony must be conducted before 03:54 PM afternoon on the very day.

  • After the eclipse ends, take a bath and purify the idols of gods and goddesses with Gangajal.
  • Also, purify the Tulsi and Shami plant with Gangajal.
  • Organize a hawan and donate to the poor.
