Jupiter is combusting for next one month. Mentor of planets, Jupiter, will combust during the midnight of July 9 & July 10. However, Jupiter will arise during the midnight of August 8 & August 9. That means that Jupiter will remain combust from July 10 to August 8. This situation is not favorable for the natives who have Jupiter posited in an auspicious position in their birth chart; especially, if they are going through Jupiter's period (Dasha) or major period (Mahadasha).

People with Jupiter posited in fifth, ninth or ascendant house (Lagna) in their horoscope (Kundali), need to stay alert in matters of education and health. Problems related to love relationships and children may arise. If Jupiter is associated with third, fifth, and eleventh house, problems in profitable journeys are foreseen. On the other hand, Jupiter's association with sixth and twelfth house, may lead to hurdles in legal matters, health problems, and fear in long journeys. One may also develop a bad habit. On Jupiter’s association with seventh house, uncertainty in job and problems with life partner are possible. Take care of elders in family, if Jupiter is related to eighth house. Along with that one has to take care of income or finances, if Jupiter is associated with either house or second house. People may lose their valuables and there is a possibility of theft too. If Jupiter is related to fourth or tenth house, one should maintain balance between professional and personal life.

During this one month, auspicious ceremonies like weddings, are prohibited. During this phase the construction of temples and new buildings etc. should be avoided. Also, new ventures should not be undertaken. With combustion of Jupiter in Cancer, North-eastern regions may receive rain showers. However, inflation will also rise. Possibilities of some natural calamities are also there.

Jupiter combust in Cancer will also result in tension and anger among people, especially in Northern parts of the India. In the horoscope of India, Jupiter is combusting in the third house. So, due to lack of support from neighbouring countries, Indian government may give more attention to the policy of war, or it may also create a new policy related to that.

You must have seen Bhava Chalit chart in a Janma Patrika along with Rashi or Lagna chart. Today, I will discuss the difference between Rasi chart and Bhavastro Chalit, and what can be analyzed using Bhava Chalit chart. Rasi chart is the main chart and it tells the signs of planets and ascendant. As clear from the term itself, Bhava Chalit chart shows position of planets in the houses. Usually, position of planets in different houses is also determined by using Rasi chart, which is not the right way. To determine the position of a planet in a house, Bhav Chalit should be considered.

Most of the times, position of planets in Bhav Chalit and Rasi chart is same. However, if a planet is occupying different places in these charts, students of astrology get confused. So, keep following points in mind while making predictions:

1. Use Bhav Chalit chart to determine a planet’s effect for a particular house in a given Dasha. If a planet is posited in first house in Rasi chart, we might say that it would give good results in its Dasha. But, if that planet is in 12th house in Chalit chart, it will give results of 12th house, such as hospitalization and loneliness instead of good health. If a planet changes its position in Bhava Chalit chart, it gives the results of that house where it is posited in Bhava Chalit.
2. In software, Bhav Madhya Bindu or House Middle Point is also given along with Bhav Chalit chart. More closer planet to this point, the more it gives results for that house. If a planet is closer to Bhav Prarambh Bindu or House Starting Point, it also gives the results of previous house. Similarly, if a planet is closer to Bhav Anta Bindu or House Ending Point, it gives results of the next house too. The planets that are closer to Bhav Prarambh or Bhav Anta Bindu, they give the mixed results of two houses.
3. Other than the position of planets in different houses, everything else such as aspect, conjunction, position in signs and exaltation-debilitation etc. are analyzed using Rasi chart.
4. Yogas should also be analyzed using Rasi chart only.

Devshayani Ekadashi 2014: The Mythological Legend

As per the legend associated with Devshayani Ekadashi, once, there was a King named Mandata. Blessed with a kind heart and generous nature, the King was very popular in his kingdom. For the welfare of his people and kingdom, he was always engaged in performing good deeds and making charities. However, due to misfortune, no rain was received by his town for a consecutive period of three years. As a result, happiness and prosperity both got affected and everybody was seen under stress and worries. Mandata performed many auspicious rituals to restore back the lost prosperity, but all in vain.

To find a solution, the King began a journey and on his way he met many scholars and holy people. He disclosed his problem to them, but was not able to get any solution. One fine day, Mandata met Sage Angira. He narrated his problem to the Sage and asked for help. Angira advised him to observe Devshayani Ekadashi Vrat and worship Lord Vishnu with pure mind and soul. Mandata thanked the Sage, observed the Vrat and prayed to the deity. His devotion pleased Lord Vishnu and it rained heavily in his kingdom. As a result, the lost prosperity came back once again and his people got their peaceful and happy life back.

It is from that day, devotees started observing Devshayani Ekadashi. On this pious day, people worship and honor Lord Vishnu with all they can.

Devshayani Ekadashi 2014: Puja Vidhi

Be it Ekadashi or any other occasion, to get the maximum results, following the right rituals is a must. On the highly sacred day of Devshayani Ekadashi, performing the Puja rituals in the below mentioned way will definitely help:

• Devshayani Vrat begins from the night of Dashami
• Following morning, devotees get up early, take bath and prepare themselves for Pooja
• Idol of Lord Vishnu is also given a bath
• The Lord is worshiped using Panchamrit (a mixture of milk, honey, Ghee, yogurt, and sugar)
• Flowers and incense sticks (Agarbatti) are also used while worshiping
• Lord Vishnu’s Mantras are chanted and Aarti is sung

Devshayani Ekadashi 2014: Beliefs Associated With Devshayani Ekadashi

According to the beliefs of Hindu people, Devshayani is the day when Lord Vishnu falls asleep in the Ksheera Sagar. The Lord awakes after a long period of four months on the auspicious day of Prabodhini Ekadashi or Dev Uthani Ekadashi. The period of four months between Devshayani Ekadashi to Prabodhini Ekadashi is known as Chaturmas. Any auspicious activity is not performed during these four months.

Devshayani Ekadashi 2014: Significance

Observing Devshayani Ekadashi blesses the devotees with a successful and blissful life. Praying to Lord Vishnu on this day helps in getting relief from all the sins and evils. One can overcome all their misdeeds with the assistance of Devshayani Ekadashi. Follow the rituals of this holy day with a pure heart and open the gates of heaven for yourself.
