- To begin Masik Vinayaka Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees get up early morning and take shower.
- After wearing clean clothes, idol of Ganesha is kept on the place of worship. As per the rituals, the face of the idol is covered with a clean cloth.
- Decorate the idol with fresh flowers, garlands and apply Chandan (sandalwood) paste on the forehead of Ganesha's idol.
- Spread some rice and place Kalash (earthen pot) filled with holy water over it. This process of establishing the Kalash is known as Purna Kumbha Kalasha Sthapana.
- Chant Lord Ganesha's mantras, as it is believed that this rituals invokes life in his idol. This is known as Prana Pratishtha.
- Now worship the Lord with 21 modaks (Ladoos), 21 leaves of Dhruva grass, incense sticks, coconut, sindoor (vermilion), Kapoor (camphor), Chandan (sandalwood paste), betel leaf & betel nuts, cotton wicks.
- Chant Ganesh Stotra or you can also chant hymns from Ganapati Atharvashirsha Upanishad.
- Perform Ganesha Aarti and bow in front of Ganesha’s idol too seek his blessings.
