Establishment of Khalsa Panth- The festival of Vaisakhi is very important for the Sikh community. On this day, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of Sikhs, founded the Khalsa Panth in Anandpur Sahib. Khalsa means pure or sacred. The purpose of establishing Khalsa Panth was to liberate people from the atrocities of the Mughal rulers.
Religious Significance- According to Hindu astrology, the festival of Vaisakhi is considered an auspicious occasion. On this day, Vaishakh month begins with the appearance of the Vishaka Nakshatra in the sky. The Sun enters Aries on this day. According to astrological scholars, this astrological developments have an impact on human life. This day is also called Solar New Year in the Hindu Calendar or Panchang. Bratum is a prayer carried out by men with an intention to persuade their main deity. On this occasion, there is a tradition of giving some cash to small children of the family.
