Goddess Kushmanda
Goddess Kushmanda represents the fourth incarnation of Goddess Durga. Her name is made up of three words- Ku meaning little, Ushma meaning energy, and Anda meaning a sphere. The Puja Vidhi for the third day of Navratri is as follows:
- Before commencing the Puja, duly worship the Kalasha and all the gods and goddesses residing in it.
- Take a flower in your hand and immerse yourself in the devotion of Goddess Chandraghanta.
- Start the Panchopchar Puja and offer red flowers, whole rice, and vermilion to the deity.
- Perform the Aarti with burning camphor and ghee and seek the blessings of Goddess Chandraghanta.
Revering Goddess Chandraghanta is the most important facet of the third day of Navratri. The soul and mind of the devotees enter the Manipur Chakra on this day, due to which they are able to witness divine things.
Sindoor Tritiya
