Importance of Ghatasthapana
Ghatasthapana is regarded as a major event of the first day of Navaratri. In Chaitra Navaratri as well as Sharad Navratri, Ghatasthapana is done during the Pratipada or the first day according to the muhurta. As per the holy scriptures, the Kalash symbolises Lord Ganesha.
