The date 12/12/12 has gained a lot of hype recently. Some people say that this is a special date which never occurred earlier. Others say that this is the start of doomsdays, which will be on its peak on 21st December 2012. Astrologers, Numerologists and Psychic readers - all are making all sorts of predictions related to this date. Some are also considering it auspicious and booking wards in hospital for baby-birth. They want to give birth to their babies on this auspicious day. Is it is really so? What is hidden in 12/12/12? Is it beginning of the end of the world or something good?
First of all we need to understand that all dates are special. No date ever repeats and that is the reason these are called date i.e. unique numbers. If any date will come every week, it cannot have any significance in measurement, which is the purpose of the date. In other words, all dates are unique. Just because a combination looks fancy and different, it doesn't mean that it is going to have huge impact on the world.
Secondly, astrology doesn't consider dates, astrology considers planetary position on a particular time. So from astrological perspective, there is nothing special about it. Numerologists may read some interesting things about this date 12. Numerology number 3 is represented by planet Jupiter. Jupiter has nothing to do with destruction. Jupiter is preacher i.e. Guru, the one who shows us the way – one who teaches us. So, this particular date is an auspicious one according to Numerology due to its association with planet Jupiter.
Astrologically, though, contrary facts are emerging out. On this date Moon will be in Scorpio sign governed by Mars and in Anuradha Nakshatra governed by Saturn. Scorpio is the sign where Moon is debilitated i.e. least powerful. On top of that, this is also happening close to no-moon day (Amavasya) and hence Moon is very weak, which is essential for a good chart. Mars & Saturn are two malefic planets and prima facie it doesn't looks like an auspicious moment astrologically. In my opinion, this should be avoided especially for child birth. Such a weak planetary combination should not be chosen for any auspicious work, what to say of the child birth.
Strong malefic influence of the day made me think that generally it is not a good day (mind you, I am just talking about the day). I do not want to read event for more than one day but we can see some negative things happening around this period. We have already seen Tsunami in Japan and we can see some more such events happening. I would not be surprised to see some calamity like earthquake, volcano eruption, tsunami, terrorist attacks etc. Tsunami especially looks possible because of the watery nature of Scorpio. Earthquake is possible due to Mars-Saturn combination.
This is especially bad for the countries governed by sign Scorpio and planet Mars. Apart from it, Aries and Sagittarius can also be affected.
I do not see any significant changes than the one mentioned above. What I have mentioned above is just for a smaller period (of that week) and doesn't change any civilization or doesn't even affect one whole year. I do not see that the world will be destroyed. I also do not see any spiritual upliftment, the people are making it to be. I also do not see Kali Yuga is ending and any other Yuga is starting. That seems all non-sense. World is going to be the same - no transformation, no power-shift, no wars, no destruction. No philosophical, social, economical and political changes. 12/12/12 and 21/12/12 are just the two dates in calendar - nothing else. Political-Business- Bureaucrat nexus will continue to loot us. We will continue our day to day fighting for the survival. We will continue to pay taxes after all that hard work. Nothing is going to change. Let us not expect dates to change destiny but let us change our destiny ourselves.
